Security Deposit and ID Questions

Unfortunately the security deposit must be paid by a pre authorised card via our link 24 Hours Before Check-in.

All of PureStays precautions are to protect from fraudulent and dangerous bookings (which hugely spiked during covid).

As good practice, we take a fully refundable deposit via our payment partner.

This is common practice across the short stay industry.

The deposit is the same as a hotel preauthorising your card for extra charges/ damages.

Once we receive positive feedback from our housekeeping team following checkout, your deposit will be returned to you via the same route it was paid.

Both. PureStay use a smart collection service, so if a booking is 6 or less days in duration our system will pre-authorise the payment card for the security deposit amount, and this will be processed 24 hours before check-in.

If a booking is greater than 6 days in duration our system will process the full charge.

You will be automatically charged 24 hours prior to check-in.  You must have provided a valid credit card with sufficient funds.  Once this has been completed successfully our system will be triggered to send your check-in information.

Pre-authorised charges are returned automatically 7 days after the initial transaction (eg. if the booking is 6 nights in length, the pre-auth is lifted that day).

For bookings greater than 7 days it is not possible to pre-authorise, so we manually authorise the return of your security deposit.

Security deposits are released once we receive positive feedback from our housekeeping team following checkout.

Once we have processed the refund it should be with you in the next 2-3 working days.

The information in relation to the refundable security deposit is included in the listing under ‘house rules’ on the website and under ‘important information’ on the mobile app.

You can also book online at Booking.com, but this will cost you around 20% more, as they charge a lot in fees.

If you cancel with 21 days or more until your booking, we will offer a full refund.

If you cancel within 14 days, we can offer a 50% refund.

No refunds are offered for cancellations within 48 hours of check-in.

We don’t usually allow pets in our accommodation, so that we can  protect the furniture and keep the entire place fresh for the next guests.

However, if you have a special circumstance, please email us using the details below.

We do not supply cot´s or highchairs but you are welcome to bring your own.

We are always happy to help and assist where we can.  An early check-in is possible, subject to availability.

Typically, Early check-ins do incur a small surcharge to assist our house keeping team in making this happen.
